My name is Peter Margiotta, I am a retired New York City Correction Officer. I was a member of the Corrections Emergency Service Unit and Firearms and Tactics unit. Working with E.S.U and at the N.Y.P.D outdoor range I have trained with some of the best firearms Instructors in the country. Becoming a Firearm Instructor was truly a dream come true, as afraid as i was about having to stand in front of a classroom and teach i was able to grab the bull by the horns so to speak and muster the courage to get through my fears. I've been Instructing now for over 26 years and love every minute of it! even when i have days where i don't really feel like being there it usually takes about 5 minutes in front of the class and bam! that feeling is gone. 

So, what brought me here to this! well, there was a couple of years after I retired that I hadn't seen a classroom to Instruct Firearms, Then one day while at the range while qualifying for my armed guard license the Instructor happen to be looking for another Instructor to help him out, So there i was Instructing again.

Realizing just how much i missed it I actually started my own school, First Action Shooting & Tactics. fastfirearmtraining.com. Anyway, while working for the other school one of the other instructors showed up one day with a makeshift cardboard sight to teach sight alignment, immediately had a flash back to say the least! every Instructor i know has used one of these at one time or another! Including myself. Well, thats when i had an epiphany! I can do something better then that! and away i went making a number of variations using different materials and meticulously honing the design to finally getting to what you see here at G.T.S. The rest is history! 

This training sight has changed the game! My students get a clear visual and better understanding of sight alignment and sight picture. This is as real as it gets for training sights! ( as said by my former employer and friend)
